Barhouma is an experienced IG math teacher who teaches both online and on-ground classes to students aged between 15 to 17 years old. With his strong follow-up skills and strict teaching rules, he ensures that his students stay on track and achieve their academic goals.
Barhouma’s classes are not only popular in Egypt but also attract students from other countries, especially Emirates. He offers classes for both Cambridge and Edexcel syllabuses, with a focus on helping students understand complex mathematical concepts and excel in their exams.
One of Barhouma longest sessions is the June session, which runs from September to June, providing students with ample time to prepare for their exams. In Egypt, the Edexcel syllabus is the most popular among students, accounting for 90% of his student body, whereas in the Emirates, it's the opposite, with 90% of students studying the Cambridge syllabus. Mr.Barhouma is a teacher who takes his students' education very seriously. he has a strong follow-up system that ensures his students are focused and on track with their studies. Firstly, he insists that her students keep their cameras open during online sessions to ensure their participation and focus. he knows that students are easily distracted and can lose focus during classes, so this helps him ensure their concentration.
Secondly, if any student is late to class, they have to sing as a punishment. This fun activity not only adds a light-hearted tone to the class but also reminds students to be punctual.
Thirdly, after each session, Mr.Barhouma sends a message to his assistants, asking them to report on the level of concentration of each student. he keeps track of each student's engagement to ensure they understand the concepts and are not struggling.
Fourthly, Mr. Barhouma sends videos and PDFs of the class materials to students to review and revise. Additionally, students have five days to submit their assignments.
Fifthly, on the day of submission, assistants send reminders to students every three hours to ensure they submit their assignments on time and that they understand everything in it without leaving a blank question. They must submit the full assignment.
Sixthly, after the students submit their work, assistants put the assignment on an Excel sheet and start to calculate the percentage of mistakes and correct answers. Seventhly, the students then have a lesson with the assistant to review and correct any mistakes. During this review, the camera of both the student and the assistant is open, allowing the assistants to oversee and help the student.
Eighthly, Mr. Barhouma sends the students their old homework to ensure they understand their mistakes. This helps them avoid repeating similar errors in the future. As a result, for the new week, students receive two homework assignments, one new and one from the previous week. Ninthly, Mr Barhouma sends a performance report to the family group on WhatsApp, which includes the student, the parent, the assistant, and the teacher. This report evaluates the student's performance and keeps the parent on track with the teacher. It lets the parent know the student's level of concentration in class and their overall performance, including what they can improve.
